Labour MP Marlene Farrugia congratulated Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil for his speech in Parliament this evening.

Writing on Facebook, she used the slogan used by the Nationalist Party nearly three decades ago, “Is-sewwa jirbah zgur” (Righteousness wins always), which were the words with which Dr Busuttil closed his budget speech.

 

In a second post, she also wrote that those who voted Labour did so to have “Xoghol, gustizzja, Liberta’”, which is the slogan the PN used in 1987 in what was then an election after six years of a Labour government that had administered the country without having obtained the majority of votes
