The prices of school uniforms for State schools are to be reduced by a good 10 per cent, the government has said in a statement.

This comes after a public consultation was held by the education ministry by means of a survey for parents of children who attend State schools.

The statement read that the absolute majority of parents who participated in the survey said that uniforms should remain but the prices should be reduced as long as the quality of uniforms is not inferior.

Yorkie Clothing has been chosen to provide State school uniforms, the statement further read.

The government made it clear that the reduction in uniforms is for children attending State schools only.
